LineLearner 6 for Android released

LineLearner 6 for Android has now been released. This brings the Android version into line with the iOS version, and provides the ability for sharing of scripts between users on both devices.

This release has been a complete re-write from the ground up, and includes lots of new features including.

  • Assigning lines to parts
  • Sharing & backup
  • More playback options
  • Loading PDFs of script

I hope that you enjoy this new version.

best regards

New version of LineLearner in development

We now have a new version of LineLearner in development. Lots of exciting new features are going into it, as well as some fixes to the navigation. It will be initially launched for iOS, and then an Android version should follow on shortly afterwards.

Some people have asked why Android always comes out after the iOS version, and the simple reason is that the development environment for Android is much harder to use, so I like to get the app sorted so that I know what it is doing in iOS, and then just copy it across into Android.

LineLearner PDF button now showing when PDF’s have been loaded

I have just now submitted a new release to the app store so that iOS users will be able to see when a PDF has been uploaded. A Show PDF button is now visible on the Recording and Playback screens when a PDF has been loaded for that script.  Sorry it has been such a long time coming, I know some of you had issues with the PDFs.

Next I have to get a PDF viewer working in the Android app, then they should have the same functionality.

Recipe Costing calculator version 2 due out soon

Just a quick post to let people know that version 2 of the Recipe costing calculator app will be due out shortly.

This new version offers many new features including

  • Stock control of ingredients
  • Shopping list creation
  • Report generation for stock and recipes
  • Searching of ingredients
  • Changing ingredient names

I hope that these enhancements will come in useful.  I would like to thank Hubert, Andrea and Crystal for their contributions.

I still have a few more features as suggested by Michael, which I aim to add in to a future release.
